RiverScape MetroPark

With a ton of year-round activities, beautiful outdoor spaces, and community events, there’s always something to something to do at RiverScape Metropark! Grab a bike, explore the Dayton Inventors River Walk, or pack a picnic and enjoy the garden and urban landscape.

Open year-round, 24/7. For special event and activities, check the website. Parking is free after 6PM on weekdays and all day on the weekends.

2nd Street Market

Discover what local vendors have to offer at the 2nd Street Market. Set in a historical 1911 freight house, formerly a B&O railroad building, it’s a great place to have lunch, do some shopping, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Market.

Open year-round from Thursday – Saturday. Free parking available.   

The Dayton Art Institute

If you’re looking for an activity with some cultural diversity, the Dayton Art Institute is a premier, fine arts museum worth checking out. The facility’s architectural and historical significance earned it recognition on the National Register of Historic Places. The inside houses some amazing special exhibitions along with 5,000 years of art history and collections from around the globe.

The Dayton Art Institute isn’t just for grown ups! The Lange Family Experiencenter is a fun, interactive art gallery for all ages. Plan a family outing and introduce your children to the world of art.

Open year-round from Wednesday – Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults and children under 17 are free. Parking is free in the lot adjacent to the museum building.

United States Air Force Museum  

Dayton is know as the city of invention with good reason. The city has had more inventions per capita throughout history than any other in the United States, including the invention of powered flight by the Wright brothers.

It’s only fitting that the United States Air Force Museum, the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world, is located in Dayton, Ohio. This rich historical and educational experience is great for the entire family. You’ll be able to connect through engaging exhibits and see the national historic collection housed there.

Open year-round. Admission is free, but there is a fee for the Air Force Museum Theatre and flight simulators.  Parking on-site is free.

Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Dayton

Weekends are usually to best times to invest in yourself and your family. What better way to do that than connect with a multi-cultural community of believers and find a place to strengthen your relationship with God.

ALC Dayton believes in building strong people and families and is a great place to put down roots for your family. There are all kinds of great activities no matter what stage of life you’re in.

Kids and youth can enjoy fun activities, like Sunday School or Ablaze Youth events. Plus, ALC Dayton hosts a monthly Sidewalk Sunday School in different neighborhoods around Seattle.

College students and young professionals can connect for times of faith, fun, food, and community action.
